AutoZone revealed the results of the study and the feedback of the respondents showed that above half of the American people do sacrifices to accommodate with higher gas prices and prefer short trips and cut back on dining out. Other half of the respondents said that tough economic conditions affected their decision to buy a new vehicle. In other words, there will be older vehicles on the road as compare to new vehicles which needs more care and maintenance. National Car Council reported that more than 80% of the vehicles which move on the road require service and maintenance.
